CatAlloy is one of the world's major producers of activated metal catalysts prepared using the Raney© process. Founded under the name of Chemcat in 1970 by Gerald Welsby, a chartered chemist with over a decade of experience in the metal catalyst field, the company steadily expanded, increasing its position in the marketplace. In 1995 the company changed its name to CatAlloy Limited and moved into a purpose-built factory incorporating facilities for the production of metal alloys, as well as greatly increased catalyst production capacity. Their ACTICAT™ product range covers the full spectrum of Nickel, Copper and Cobalt activated metal catalysts, together with powder and chunk metal alloys.
