The name Blackwell has been associated with the metal, mineral and chemical industry for over 130 years.

S+A Blackwell Ltd was formed in 1972, following the takeover of the Blackwell family business, which had been founded in 1869 by Simon and Andrew Blackwell's great-grand father.

We continue to give a personal service to customers all over the  world to whom we supply a comprehensive range of metals, chemicals and minerals, as well as specialised services such as packing and re-packing, grinding, blending, storage etc. We also buy and treat spent catalysts and other residues and arisings, in order to reclaim the metal contents, such as Nickel, Cobalt, Vanadium etc. Needless to say, this type of work is undertaken only with due recognition for the needs of the environment.

The company represents a number of British and overseas producers of metals and chemicals.

S+A Blackwell has been assessed by BSI Quality Assurance and in 1990 was granted approval in accordance with BS EN ISO 9002: 1994 and in 2003 the company successfully achieved approval to BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
